The 2026 Turner Piping & Refrigeration Vermont Junior Tour season got underway on Tuesday at Vermont National Country Club, where some of Vermont’s top junior golfers kicked off the summer with impressive performances.
In the Boys 10-14 Division, Xander Desautels of Burlington Country Club delivered one of the day’s standout rounds, firing a 71 (-1) to claim the division title. Desautels carded five birdies during his round, posting an even-par 36 on the front nine before closing with a 35 (-1) on the back. His score was the only round under par recorded during the event.
Josiah Hamm finished in second place with a 76 (+4), while Nick Norris placed third at 78 (+6). Ernest Handy rounded out the top four with a score of 79 (+7).
The Boys 15-18 Division featured a tightly contested leaderboard, with Burlington Country Club member Jack Henry emerging victorious after an even-par round of 72. Henry’s round included four birdies as he navigated the front nine in 37 (+1) before turning in a strong 35 (-1) on the back nine.
Rowan Turner of Country Club of Vermont finished just one shot behind Henry in second place at 73 (+1). After opening with a 39 (+3) on the front side, Turner caught fire on the inward nine, posting an impressive 34 (-2).
A four-way tie for third place featured Joshua Gaskin, Jack Bryan, Bubba Chamberlain, and Jack McDougall, all of whom finished at 76 (+4).
In the Girls Division, Rylee Makay and Lillian Collins shared top honors after both competitors posted rounds of 94 (+22).
