The second of four qualifiers for the 2026 Vermont Amateur Championship was contested Monday at Cedar Knoll Country Club, where 67 players competed for a chance to earn their spot in Vermont’s premier amateur championship.
With 16 qualifying spots available plus ties, 17 players ultimately secured their place in the championship field that will head to Ekwanok Country Club this July.
Aaron Wood claimed medalist honors after carding a 2-over-par 74, the lowest round of the day. Wood led a tightly contested leaderboard as players battled challenging conditions and the pressure of qualifying.

The Cedar Knoll qualifier follows the opening qualifier at Brattleboro Country Club and moves the championship season one step closer to a complete field. Players who successfully advanced on Monday now join those who have already qualified for Vermont’s most prestigious amateur golf championship.
