2017 Vermont Senior Amateur Championship
Brattleboro Country Club
September 6 - 7, 2017

The Vermont Senior Amateur is a 36 hole stroke play event open to all
Vermont amateurs age 55 and older.

Entry fee is $125.00

Note - if you are registering for an event with an age restriction you must have your birth date included in your TPP profile.

An active, valid GHIN handicap at at Vermont Member Club is required of all participants.

There are two flights:

Senior Flight:            55 and older

Super-Senior Flight:  65 and older

Everyone is entered into the Senior Flight.  There is a special Super Senior flight for players who are 65+.

Winners will be determined by whichever flight gives them the greatest payout.  In other words, if a player 65+ has the lowest score over the entire field, he will win the Senior Flight, not the Super Senior Flight.  A player can only win one prize.  If a player under 65 has the lowest score overall, that player will win the Senior Flight and then the lowest score of all the players 65+ will win the Super Senior Flight.

The Lee Davis Cup is awarded to the team with the three lowest gross scores from any club having 3 or more players entered.

The Legends Flight:  70 and older

The Legends Flight is optional for players ages 70 and over.  Players choosing to play in this flight will play from a Senior set of tees and will not be eligible to win the overall Senior Championship or participate in the Lee Davis Cup competition. Players in the Legends Flight will compete against only players 70 years of age and older in that flight and will play for prizes based on the number of entrants in the flight.

FIELD:  The field will be limited to 100 players.  Priority will be given to players who have participated in past Senior Amateur Championships should the field become oversubscribed.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice rounds are available the week immediately preceding the Championship.  More information will be published as soon as it becomes available.  In view of the damage that can be caused by play of extra balls during practice rounds, the VGA asks players not to abuse the courtesy extended by the club in the use of its course.  The VGA requests that each player play only one ball at each hole during the practice round.
