SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Scholarship Requirements
Scholarships will be granted annually not to exceed the four years
that the recipient is enrolled in college. The Vermont Golf
Association Scholarship Fund will annually determine the amount of
the scholarship which, at present, are $1,000 per year awards.
Applicant must be a resident of the state of Vermont, a senior in a
Vermont high school or Hanover, New Hampshire or Granville, New York
high school or Rivendell Interstate School District.
Applicants must be in the top 40% of their graduating class or
have a G.P.A. of at least 80.0 and a minimum combined SAT
score of 1,500. Applicants must be enrolled in, or accepted as
a full-time student at a college or university of their choice.
Applicant finalists are required to attend an interview.
Students selected for scholarship interviews will be notified by
mail approximately 10 days prior to the interview. Students
not selected will also be notified. Criteria used for
selection are financial need, scholarship, and the applicant's (not
parents') connection to the game of golf; such as golf team, working
in golf shop, working for grounds superintendent, etc.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Required Supporting Documents:
The following material must be included with this application:

Official signed transcript of high school grades, including
actual or approximate class rank, G.P.A., and SAT scores.

Dated letter of recommendation from at least one person.

Dated letter attesting to applicant's connection with golf.
(Example: golf coach, golf pro, president of golf club,
etc.)

Applicants must have
filed a Free Application For Students Aid (FAFSA) and must
attach a copy of their Student Aid Report (SAR) to this
application which shows parents' income and parents'
contribution (EFC).
Use additional pages if
there is not enough space for answers, or for other pertinent
information.
