Hello from Orlando, where I am attending the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show, one of the largest trade shows in the world, looking for uniforms, tee prizes, golf flags and other equipment for the VGA's 2012 season.

| New On-Line Registration! | The Vermont Golf Association is making event registration easier! You will now be able to sign up and pay for our major tournaments on-line all in one easy step! In addition, tournament results will be posted "live" on the website!! As scorecards are returned at major events, the scores will be posted and immediately available to view on the VGA website!
With just a few details to be finalized, we will have the new TPP Online registration up and ready by the 2nd week of February to register for the VGA Spring 4-Ball that will be held May 5-6, 2012. Venues will include Rutland CC, Proctor-Pittsford CC, The Golf Club at Equinox, Manchester CC, The Dorset Field Club, and depending on the number of participants, possibly a 6th course.

Myrtle Beach 4-Ball |
We are getting a good turnout for the winter 4-Ball in Myrtle Beach being held March 2-4 at True Blue and Caledonia Golf Courses. We are nearing our limit of 60 2-person teams. If you are planning on attending and have not yet signed up please do so quickly. Once we have 60 teams we will start a wait list in order of entries received. The USGA is pleased to announce a USGA Golf History Symposium to be hosted at the USGA Administration Building on Saturday, February 18th, 2012.
The Public is invited to attend this one day symposium kicking off the newest temporary exhibit "American Champions and Barrier Breakers," scheduled to run from Feb. 12, 2012 to July 30, 2012. Celebrating the lives, the sports achievements and the important legacies of Jackie Robinson, Joe Louis and Althea Gibson, the exhibit will feature artifacts, documents and photographs for these three American icons and calls attention to the numerous contributions that African-Americans have made to golf for more than a century.
The Symposium will feature presentations by Bill Wright, the first African-American to win a USGA Championship; Dr. Calvin Sinnette, author of Forbidden Fairways; Renee Powell, the second African-American woman to play on the LPGA Tour; Joe Louis Barrow, Jr., chief executive officer of The First Tee; and Dr. Yohuru Williams, chief historian and vice president for public education and research for the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
This event is free and open to the public. Due to limited space, reservations are recommended through the Museum receptionist or email museum@usga.org.

2012 is a Rules change year and this year there have been some significant changes to the Rules of Golf!
If you haven't already done so, grab your 2012-2013 Rules of Golf Book and prepare yourself for the upcoming tournament season by learning about these new changes!
